About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a research assistant professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Alabama. She works closely with United Ability and Alabama’s APTAT program to support and strengthen assistive technology efforts across the state.

In addition to her consulting and academic work, Elizabeth is the coordinator for AT Alabama, the state’s annual two-day assistive technology conference held in Birmingham. The event brings together professionals, families, and individuals with disabilities to connect, collaborate, and share best practices in AT.

Elizabeth brings wide-ranging experience from her time as an assistant professor at the University of West Georgia, a solutions consultant at Tobii Dynavox, and a special education teacher with Homewood City Schools.
